Swamp landia!
I found this book very difficult to get through and be interested in until the third to last chapter, when the story was brought down from a supernatural fantasy to the reality of what can happen to little girls who follow vagrant strangers off into the swamp.
The language of the author used to evoke the swamplands was beautiful. Here are some collected images I find relevant to Swamplandia!
